Overview
The following describes a step by step process on how to make a Paralyzer cocktail. This article will give you a brief description on the cocktail, instructions on how to make it, and some alternatives and variations for the drink.
Tips
Make sure you don't add too much cream to the drink.
No need to make it stronger, its already high in alcohol.
Add a mint leaf for Garnish.
The ice in the glass helps the cream to not curdle.
Introduction
The Paralyzer Cocktail is very easy to make and should only take about 1 to 2 minutes for a novice. Essentially, the cocktail is a mixture of tequila, vodka, Kahlua, and cream. The drink may look like a milk shake due to the cream and Kahlua, but it packs a punch. With the combination of tequila, vodka, and Kahlua, there is no shortage of alcohol.
Ingredients
Before you begin to make the cocktail, make sure you have all the following ingredients on hand:
- 1800 Tequila
- Vodka
- Kahlua coffee liqueur
- Light cream
- Coca-Cola
Instructions
- Fill a tall glass with ice
- Pour 1/2 oz 1800® Tequila in the tall glass
- Pour 1/2 oz vodka in the tall glass
- Pour 1/2 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur in the tall glass
- Fill to 2/3 with Coca-Cola
- Top it off with Light Cream.
- Stir gently and serve.
Alternatives and Variations
A variation of the original Paralyzer is the Cookies and Cream Paralyzer. It consists of the following ingredients:
- Coffee Liqueur
- Creme de Menthe
- Creme de Cacao
- Cola
- Milk
Similar to the original Paralyzer, just fill a glass with ice, then add 1/2 oz Coffee Liqueur, 1/4 oz Creme de Menthe, and 1/4 oz Creme de Cacao. Top it off with Cola and Milk. It tastes much like an Oreo cookie.
